About Moonbud

Moonbud started this conversation

we need help, prayer, we're about to lose our home, (as of 1-1-2010) we are in foreclosure. 21st Mortage of Knoxville, TN will not help us, at all, they're not interested in helping because we have paid way over half of our mortage. The irs decided to take most of my husband's retirement check, they're taken our 75% of his check, beginning dec 2009, putting us 2 months overdue with the mortage, Because we took 10 thousand dollars out of my husbands retirement (early withdrawal tax penality) to put down a payment on our home, which was supposed to be deductable, but irs said no, our home is not a home, it's a mobile home, it has wheels, No deduction. Now we have horrible penalities & interest, late fees and such. Because of someone on here (Aidpage) we may have gotten temporary help with irs, thanks Gloria. Please help us if you can, Advice with foreclosure, funds, loans, grants, anything that can help. I also have custody of my 11 year old grandson. I have never had to ask for help before, now I must. God Bless!

thank you Divinelite. Our local community is of no help. We live in the pooriest county in the state of Ky. Owsley. 2 groups gave us 1 hundred each, one gave us food twice, that's it. They say my husband's annual income is to much. The irs has been made aware of our problem, they lifted the levy off my husband's check, so he will get his full check next month, they took 2 of them already. They're supposed to give back enough to at least cover the mortage but so far.. Nothing. If they don't we'll probably lose our home. the mortage co. gave us until the last of this month. The irs has put us in a horrible situation, we can't buy anything, meds, food, anything, and because the irs put the levy on his check, he can't get credit anywhere, I never thought this would happen in this country. Never. I was wrong. And they know what they have done, we faxed copies of our bills and everything, they know. When we call them, they tell us that it is in front of the managers, that's it. I also found out that they made the miostake to begin with, they wouldn't give us credit on the 10 thousand dollars that we put down on our home, saying it wasn't a home, it was a trailor, that is wrong, it is a mobile home and they have to give us credit on it, now they tell us we must refill for the 2003 year, and maybe they can help us.

These two sites appear likely to be of interest to you:

http://www.needymeds.org/

http://www.freemedicalcamps.com/

Also, medical schools often allow people to volunteer for free medical care from their students, although with no help for transportation costs.  You could check if there's one close enough for that to be worthwhile.

our prayers are with you moonbud, and as a taxpayer that you are and have been, reach out to your local community/city representatives for assistance as well.  The irs should also be made aware of your circumstances and be willing to do much more than they are to work with you.  local churches are also a great resource.... god bless and keep your head up,
